Allow Login Page to be Customized

Currently, we can make themes that customize the internal parts of OpenCloud. However, the login page remains mostly unchanged. The extent of login page customization is limited to the theme logo being placed above the sign-in square.

The main thing I would like to be able to customize is the background of the login page. That way, my users can be greeted by my theme when they go to log in to the service, and it keeps continuity throughout.

Right now, it keeps the OpenCloud tagline and logo background no matter what I do.

This depends on the IDP you're using. With the internal IDP, your options are limited, but you can specify a custom background via IDP_LOGIN_BACKGROUND_URL. An external IDP usually gives you a lot more options. You need to check your IDP's docs for how to customize the login page.

Thank you. After your reply, I did a deeper dive and was able to find your guidance on changing the internal IDP's background.

I am, however, still left with the OpenCloud tagline even though I have defined a custom tagline. I can see the custom tagline when I go to a shared link page, which is good!

Are there any plans to allow further customization of the IDP?

I would also love to see the ability to use a photo background for the link page, as this is another place where a lot of people will interact with my server that I would love to brand further!

Are there any plans to allow further customization of the IDP?

Not really, no. The internal IDP is very limited in functionality anyway, and we usually recommend using an external IDP other than for small homelab instances.
