I've faced the same situation couple days ago,
almost sure that is known issue and there are some other plans of developers on that,
so I have just used "replace" workaround in composer.json on my local repository for now #47

any news regarding this dependency are welcome, many thanks

We removed dependency. Need to clear local composer cache and run composer update to receive changes from packagist server with the same platform tag.
