Hydra Helm chart timed out #88
Comments
Thats a network issue or an issue with your cluster, not a problem with this chart.

Hi,
I'am trying to install Hydra on my kubernetes cluster using the Helm chart.
I followed the documentation found here : https://k8s.ory.sh/helm/
But, when I try to install it using this command :
helm install --name hydra \
--set 'hydra.config.secrets.system=strongpassword' \
--set 'hydra.config.dsn=postgres://xxx.xxx.xxx' \
--set 'hydra.config.urls.self.issuer=https://localhost:9000/' \
--set 'hydra.config.urls.login=http://localhost:9020/login' \
--set 'hydra.config.urls.consent=http://localhost:9020/consent' \
--namespace hydra \
ory/hydra
Nothing happens and after a certain time I have this error message :
UPGRADE FAILED
Error: timed out waiting for the condition
Error: UPGRADE FAILED: timed out waiting for the condition
I'am using v2.14.3 of helm (client and server).
Thank you

No, it's not a network issue. It seems to be an invalid ressource formatting.
Looking at the ressource (in the requirement hydra-maester) :

So, now, after removing the namespace, and running the helm install again, the init job (hydra-crd-init) is crashing with this error message :
And the command ends with the timeout message showed above. |
What Kubernetes Cluster (version) are you running? Do you have rbac enabled? |
I'am running kubernetes 1.11.8 with these api-versions :
rbac is enabled. We are using helm 2.14.3 (server and client side). I see that |
Oh I see, I think 1.11 doesn't support rbac. We've built these charts on the basis of 1.16. It might still work if you disable maester (see values.yaml) but no guarantees. |
Sorry, you said you have rbac. Actually, it's possible that a namespace flag is set incorrectly. I have to check. You can still get this to work by disabling maester IMO! |
I believe that |
Hi, |
I believe that this has ben fixed as there have been bugfixes in maester! |
BREAKING CHANGE: This patch moves `oathkeeper-maester` and `hydra-maester` into their standalone charts. ORY Hydra and ORY Oathkeeper charts still list the maester charts as dependencies. Also adds documentation around use of the maester charts. Closes #122 Closes #103 Closes #116 Closes #88 Signed-off-by: Clément BUCHART <clement@buchart.dev>
