I would recommend to drop the more static approach of swap partitions in favor of swap_files which are way more flexible.

Seems to be mostly a matter of taste, I for one don't like swapfiles at all. The intention of the node-image also isn't to be flexible, it is to satisfy our standardized installation requirements. Anyone is free to create a fork if they have different requirements.

What are we going to do here? I would say switch to a swap file. Then you can remove/expand it if necessary or drag it onto an LV.
