wheel odometry available?

I am not seeing a topic that reports wheel odometry from the ground moving robots. Am I missing something or will wheel odometry really not be available?

X2 has a topic /X2/odometry/filtered but echoing that topic does not show any messages published on it.

In X1 config 2 there is:
/X1/x1_velocity_controller/odom

We use /X2/x2_velocity_controller/odom but be aware that the topic names can change in near future (see #44).
