I'm running this locally and was able to succesfully build qmk with gcc 7.1. |

Tested avr-gcc 7.1 with building QMK as well successfully. |

thanks a lot @nathanejohnson & @nooges for testing that! 👍 Merging now as it seems to be working. If something is not right, I'll look into it. |

big update:
As discussed here #49 and here #48 I've made a pull request to test the changes.
The resource thing only works for the latest version.
I have a strange error with
