Im often confused by the arrow buttons which expand a folder. The default state is an arrow down right? This does not represent its state but the action that will be performed which is confusing.

The news app uses a button which points to the right for closed folders and a button that points down for open folders.

It's the default google style, so I don't want to destroy their design guidlines ;-)

btw. yes the default style is the arrow down --> it shows the action which happens when you click on it.

Are you sure? I've never seen this in any Andriod App. Google Reader used the +, - Buttons btw
