Dynamic Lighting Fix: I am going to be using Dynamic Lighting on my maps in this game. Dynamic lighting is great because it tells you exactly what your character's line of sight is, but it can also be extremely disorienting because it covers the map in random polygons of black which don't maintain the mental image your character would have of an environment they had been in before. Roll20 tried to solve this with a thing called Advanced Dynamic Lighting, but unfortunately it is SUPER slow on all but the snappiest computers and internet connections. So, we're going to solve this problem with a bit of a hack, which will make the dynamic lighting transparent and the fog of war pure black, so that I can keep places that you've been revealed to you but you can still see your character's line of sight. You need to do some things to make this happen.

First: Install Tampermonkey (chrome, firefox, opera, safari, edge). Second:Installthis scriptwith Tampermonkey. You may need to restart your browser for it to take effect. Third:Yay! You're done!

Попробуй Firefox Quantum. Roll20 needs a ton of computing power. Most browsers are unable to use the full capabilities of your computer to run Roll20, however, so you may experience lag or crashes even if you have a nice, modern computer. Mozilla has created a new browser called "Firefox Quantum" which is specially made to use the high tech capabilities of modern computers (I won't go into the details.) Give it a try, you may find that Roll20 runs much smoother on it.

Live to Tell the Tale : And Introduction to Combat Tactics for D&D Players. From the author of The Monsters Know What They're Doing, a blog containing ready-to-use tactics for fifth-edition Dungeons and Dragons monsters and non-player characters, Live to Tell the Tale evens the score, providing beginning and intermediate D&D players the tools they need to fight back. Examining combat roles, class features, party composition, positioning, debilitating conditions, attacking combinations, action economy, and the ever-important consideration of the best ways to run away, Live to Tell the Tale will help you get the most out of the character that's close to your heart.

5e Tools. No more swapping back and fourth from the Roll20 Compendium, to DnD Beyond, to UA, to books or PDFs....this website has everything official, plus some well-vetted unofficial things. What's more, it's all in an easy to filter, easy to understand interface. Unfortunately you'll still have to reference other sources for homebrew items. (Also, if you're interested you can download the whole site for lightning fast, offline access. I can also show you how to make the downloaded version so it stays up to date with the online one. Obviously this is optional.)

Shaped Sheet Video Tutorial . This tutorial is for a somewhat older version of the shaped sheet, and thus since the making of this video some features have been added (most noticably, tabs for each section, the ability to collapse the sections, and filters) and some things have been moved around to make it match the normal D&D character sheet (like what the OGL looked like.) However, I hope that if you're really lost this tutorial will help you get somewhat more comfortable with the sheet.

WYSIWYG Text Editor Roll20 has a terrrible inline text editor that is prone to getting confused, skipping lines, losing data, etc. You may want to use some formatting when you put things inBio & Infoarea of your sheet because this tab will be visible to all players. I recommend that you use this chrome extension instead, and after you're done editing there, click the <> button, copy the html code, and paste it into the Roll20 text editor. (This does not work inside the character sheet tab.)

Character Generator .This website can produce pregenerated characters for all the core archetypes. I don't recommend using one of these unless you're in a pinch because that's no fun at all, but if you need an example of a finished character sheet this tool is great.

Name Generators .Here are some useful name generators.

The One Ring Theme for Roll20.If you've installed tampermonkey from above, can make Roll20 look significantly less hideous by installing a nice theme at link .
