I think this would help simonmichael/hledger#2015, allowing me to keep showing pretty ANSI output by default.

@pharpend, would you consider merging (adding either -r or -R) and doing a new release ?

Possibly related:

more on my system (mac) is provided by less. In such cases it may accept/require the same -r/-R flag. I'm not sure if that would disrupt the real more (if that still exists ?)

You can get the same result in a possibly more compatible way by ensuring R is in $MORE, as in this workaround.
