Support sorting in reverse chronological order #860

Yes, you can define you own sorting schemes to do whatever you wish. See the biblatex manual or ask on tex.stackexchange.com for an example. |
I know I can and how to define my own sorting scheme. I am hoping this is something supported by biblatex out of box. |
Well, we generally don't put into the core things which are not common requirements as we have to support them. Since this is a very rare request, I would tend to leave this to users. It is trivial to define this and leave it in a config file for general use. If there is a good reason for a new default sorting scheme, we can add it but this is the first time anyone has requested this ... |
See also #639. In the past we have turned down adding additional sorting schemes to the core, because it is fairly straightforward to add new ones yourself. Cf. also #485, #486 and #766. I would like to stick to that approach and would therefore prefer only to include a new sorting scheme if there is considerable demand for it. For CVs specifically, the style |

Hi, is it possible to add a new sorting option to sort by reverse chronological order? Currently, there is a
ydnt
option. But it only sorts based on year and ignores both month and day. Sorting in reverse chronological order would be beneficial if users want to list publications in their cv or other documents.The text was updated successfully, but these errors were encountered:
