We currently use ruby 2.7 for running the pmd-regression-tester and for building our jekyll-based documentation.

Ruby 2.7 is EOL, see https://www.ruby-lang.org/en/news/2023/03/30/ruby-2-7-8-released/

We should upgrade our tooling to use ruby 3. Maybe regression tester needs to be updated as well.
