The Clock screensaver displays the current time using either format HH:MM or HH:MM:SS. If animated parameter was set to True then the clock will change its position after interval defined in parameter update.period.

Configuration Parameters

Clock screensaver has the following configuration parameters in file screensaver-config.txt:

  • type - defines the screensaver type: font or image.
  • update.period - defines in seconds time interval for clock position updates if clock is animated.
  • military.time.format - this property can be used to specify military time format (e.g. 23:00).
  • animated - this property defines if clock should be static or animated.
  • clock.size - this property defines the clock width as a percentage of the screen width.
  • font.name - it defines the font name in case of clock type Font. The default value is FiraSans.ttf.
  • image.folder - defines the image folder name in case of clock type Image. The default value is Tube-Orange.
  • show.seconds - True enables displaying seconds, False disables displaying seconds.
  • multi.color - True enables displaying clock digits in multiple colors, False enables displaying monochrome digits.
  • color - defines the monochrome color for all clock digits.
  • hour.1 - defines the color of the first hour digit in multi-color mode.
  • hour.2 - defines the color of the second hour digit in multi-color mode.
  • hour.separator - defines the color of the separator between hours and minutes in multi-color mode.
  • minute.1 - defines the color of the first minute digit in multi-color mode.
  • minute.2 - defines the color of the second minute digit in multi-color mode.
  • minute.separator - defines the color of the separator between minutes and seconds in multi-color mode if seconds enabled.
  • second.1 - defines the color of the first seconds digit in multi-color mode.
  • second.2 - defines the color of the second seconds digit in multi-color mode.
