The removal of the "Append the label of the torrent to the save path" option is a big problem!

I only do clean installs myself, and with earlier program versions I always had this option checked.

Before, after installing a new version, I would just add my old torrents..
qBittorrent would then automatically run a recheck, and it would continue downloading where the previous version left off.
Now, with qBittorrent v3.3.5, the labeling system is a mess, and none of my old torrents could be resumed!

I'm going back to v3.3.4 for the time being.

I agree, the new torrent management modes suck. I can't even find the information on how they work

I also do not like the new way. I loved to append the label to the save path.

I don't get it..
We finally had a good and stable file managing system.
Why did you have to go and mess it up!?
I haven't even bothered to update my translations because of this.

Very disappointed by this option being removed/broken. Any idea if it is going to be brought back?

The fact is that you when you add a torrent, you have a "torrent management method" option on top of the modal window. There you can choose "Automatic". Now it should append the label to the save path. However, it is still a little bit broken so what you really have to do, it's right click on your torrent and check the "Automatic Torrent Management" option. Then the file should be automatically moved to the new folder (with the label in the path).

Incomplete torrent are stored in cryptic subfolders, making them practically impossible to handle.
How do I disable the creation of such weird folders (like "5ecv9eb", "99f0992", "8855ab0")??
My old torrents can't be resumed because of this craziness!
Also, when deleting incomplete torrents from the transfer window and checking "Also delete the files on the hard disk", those cryptic folders, and their contents, still remains.
In other words; the feature is broken!

"Automatic" / "Manual".. what's even the deal with this consept?
I don't see how anyone can prefer this over the old management style, which after years with various issues finally worked perfectly!

Automatic : path is set depending on the label
Manual : you manually set the path and the label
It gives more freedom to the user. Before that, you had to disable automatic path based on label if you wanted to add a torrent with a label but a custom path.
Once all the bugs have been cleared, I don't see any issue with this system.

Well, it has been more than a year now, and I don't see any improvements.
Going back to v3.3.4.

Fixed by #7176 and will be included in v3.4.0. It is also included in the beta I released a few minutes ago.

Once all the bugs have been cleared, I don't see any issue with this system.

Also a bit more control if you look at Options->Downloads and the associated tooltips.

So I think all problems are resolved at this moment, and I am closing it.

Nope, NOT fixed!
I tested this with a clean install of v3.3.15.
