Selection removed when clicking on a menu button in the toolbar

When selecting a menu button like the background color picker, the selected text becomes unselected in the editor.
The actual functionality is fine. The previously selected text gets the new background color, it's only the display of the selection that gets removed.
Steps for Reproduction

1. Visit http://beta.quilljs.com/
2. Select some text
3. Click on the background color picker button.
