These are StackScripts for bootstrapping quixoftic.com Linodes. The scripts are fairly specific to building Quixoftic hosts, but might be useful to other Linode users with a bit of work. Each script attempts to build a host that is secure out of the box.
3476-quixoftic-debian-stable-embryo.sh builds an x86-64 Debian stable Linode “embryo” – that is, a minimally-configured machine whose only public service is SSH.
3483-quixoftic-debian-sid-embryo.sh builds an x86-64 Debian sid embryo.
3485-shell.quixoftic.com.sh builds the specific host shell.quixoftic.com.
3480-quixoftic-debian-amd64-library.sh is a library of functions used by the other StackScripts.
All quixoftic.com Linodes require a swap device configured on /dev/xvdb, and a separate /var/log ext3 filesystem on /dev/xvdc. The scripts check for these filesystems, and fail if the Linode config profile doesn’t provide them. Some of the host-specific scripts may require additional filesystem devices, as well.
All of the scripts are released under the MIT license.
