Should the .OPTIONS Section have "XYCE" permanently in the menu ?

There is no way to hide the parameter for specific simulator. Ngspice simply ignores the "XyceOptionPackage" parameter. It has effect for Xyce only. Ngspice and Xyce uses different netlisting algorithm.
