Currently, the state of the 128 80 column mode is saved... but the boot display always comes up with the blank (VICII) 40 column display. Then you need to navigate the config menu and flip over to the 80 column (VDC) display.

It would be great if this could be saved so that you can default to VDC on a cold boot. It might be even cooler if there was a way to define this as another line in the machines.txt file so you can flip between a 40 and 80 column 128.
