Realsee has rewritten its entire spatial renderer with WebGPU in pursuit of the ultimate 3D experience.
The engineering article covers the system behind panorama and model views, spatial plugins, high-resolution detail and image output. It documents the move to TSL node materials, viewport-driven resource loading, and color handling across imagery, video and output.
These changes extend through the main player and auxiliary canvases, making the architecture relevant to developers building on the rendering ecosystem.
The article also compares WebGPU with WebGL and WebGL 2 and links to the WebGPU npm packages. This discussion provides a place to explore those implementation choices.
