Observing the keys pressed we can assume the cat was diagonally exploring the keyboard, probably with the front paws oriented towards the "/=-[" part of the keyboard (right/bottom) since there is more variability there, compared to the (maybe) rear paw staying near the number "3" (and the other rear paw probably outside the keyboard, in the upper part). However the size of the cat should be very small in that case, or the size of the keyboard should be very large, if we are not willing to assume a reduced-length cat because of attack position or alike. |
Btw if you could report the |
I suspect front left paw on the 3 and front right paw on the "/=-[". As a proof, here is a video of a cat's gait. |
Actually, it could even compile in some Brainfuck dialect... |

I dressed my cat up as a dog for Halloween. Now he won’t come when I call him. |
Love the comments definitely made me laugh. I did infact have some issues with Redis initially, magically started working after a fresh install of Ubuntu server, so no longer an issue now. |
Having trouble reproducing this issue |
Can't reproduce the issue: I don't have a cat |
I'm also experiencing this purroblem +1 |
Oh, some cat-egory theory in Redis! |
These punny comments are dhissgusting. |
CATastrophe |
I CAn'T fix...! |
@deioo you can press c to create a new issue |
@jake01859 This is your first issue ever? You’ve cat to be kitten me right meow. Can everyone just paws for a minute and enjoy this? |
Github should be apply reCATcha. 😂 |
Cannot reproduce. I am dog person. |
The CAT deserves a TROPHIE! |
he might create his own CATalogue to do next |
Github has now proven that the potential absence of cat pictures can turn into a cat-buzz too. As long as we talk about cats, anything can be possible. Next issue about free energy made with cats? |

most 😆 in an issue? |
I put my cat on my keyboard many times , but can not reproduce . |
(humbly suggests that maybe someone should lock this issue... fun though it is) |
It's so funny. |
Congratulations, you made it onto almost most happy-faced on the entirety of GitHub. |
This is outside of Redis' purrview. |
out of scope of this story. |
This was posted on Hacker News today, and quickly flagged by 1 or or militant mod lacking a sense of humor (I mean who else would flag a funny post of a cat), so when I came across the headline on hckrnews.com, an alternative hacker news client, I initial read the story as.. DEAD Cat walked over the keyboard... |
Fun fact: this is valid code in most programming languages |
@jake01859 no pictures of the 🐈? #disappointed |
So this is the famous strcat |
With the number of people subscribed i am surprised GitHub doesn't fall over with each new comment 😄 |
it's only 48 |
That's participants, I'm fairly sure more are subscribed |
Oh, I was under the impression that whomever had subscribed was listed as a participant. I see now that that's not the case. |
Did you call him by name or call him by value? |
Easy to solve ... surrond it with a try CATch |
definitely it's not schrodinger's cat |
Can you guys please re-open this?. I'm hitting the same issue with dog release. |
