RaspberryPi in an old clock with smart functionalities (read news, check server status)

Functionalities

By default the clock shows the current time and every 30sec the current date.
The alarm clock can read out the latest news using a News-API and GTTS (Google Text To Speech).
It can check the status of multiple hosts and show it on the display.
