Sync does not handle failed connections well. If a connection is deleted between sessions, a sync project using that connection will silently fail with a "cannot find ancestor configuration" error. During a session, sync will reopen connections that are deleted, since the connection object is stored in the build scenario. These are just two examples. There may also be other problems with handling of failed connections.
