Describe the bug
A clear and concise description of what the bug is.

I have been using the Goaly app for about a week with three goals set up. I have the Google Calendar link set up so I can click "Did it" link from the event. I tried this morning for one of my goals ("Post on Photography page") and received a bad state error. Note that I clicked the link after the timeframe had passed, unsure if related.

After closing out and reloading the app, all of my goals and progress are gone (😭).

  2. Click on 'Did it' link.
  3. Hit error page.
  4. Reload Goaly application.
  5. Goals/progress are gone.

Expected behavior
A clear and concise description of what you expected to happen.

  1. Goal instance to be marked complete in Goaly app.
  2. Three goals to be set up in Goaly app.

Oh no! That's an awful bug.
I'm terribly sorry that you experienced it. The same thing happened to me once about a month ago.
This most likely happened because Goaly's Google Drive data was deleted (maybe automatically by Google)
We have a fix planned for a future update (hopefully next month) that will solve this issue for good.
Again, sorry that this happened to you, hope this won't happen again

@rosenpin Thanks for the response. Is there a way I can manually add a completed goal instance from earlier this week? I recreated my goals but due to it being Thursday already, I don't have enough instances to mark my goals complete for the week.

Unfortunately there's no straightforward way to do that :( I'm very sorry.
What you could do is the following trick:

  1. Create the goal that was deleted but set it to occur 7 times a week
  2. In your Google Calendar, move the events from next week to the previous/current week
  3. Mark those events as completed in the upcoming screen
  4. Change the goal 'times per week' back to the original desired value

This should work
Thank you for understanding and again, sorry that this happened to you.
If you haven't bought the premium version yet, please send us an email and we will grant you a code to unlock the premium version for life. This is the least we can do

Thank you for your support :)

Oh no!
I'm truly terribly sorry this happened again.
We started working on a fix a few days ago, if you could please go to Settings->Scroll down->Send logs that would tremendously help us with solving this issue quickly 🙏

related to #28 and will most likely be solved once that's fixed

This should have been solved by the latest update (1.1.5).
If it happens again, please let us know and we will re-open this issue
