I recently acquired a few RGB lights and successfully integrated them to HA using localtuya, thanks!
However, it's the first component in my setup without Tasmota on it or exclusively local, so my first reflex was to block internet access at the router. Well... that didn't go as expected.
I'm aware of #195.
Everything is blocked, including DNS.
To confirm, I just unplugged my modem cable and went on an offline network. Same results.
If I allow internet, setup and then block, everything goes well.
Even when taking bulbs off power and back on using the passive branch #171 (bulbs are behind a wall switch, not always connected to power).
But as soon as I have to restart my HA instance, it won't go back. Bulbs stays unavailable and I get heartbeat fail messages in log.
Is anyone using Tuya devices without allowing internet access to them? Or for now we are stuck on allowing them?
