Stable 3.1.2 - Checklist Overhaul

31 Aug 15:03

Choose a tag to compare

This update refines the checklist feature. Checklists have been completely redesigned from the ground up to be more powerful and useful. A checklist is now formed by one or more groups of elements, each one with a dedicated title. Checked items are moved to the end of the group and can be dismissed by swiping them to the left, or collapsed tapping the separator line. A group can be dismissed by swiping left on the unchecked items.

Despite an almost complete model overhaul of the checklist, it is possible to safely upgrade from previous 3.x.x versions.

How to install

  1. Download the apk for your architecture (if you do not know the architecture of your device, download the fat notes_version-name.apk which is built for wider compatibility)
  2. From your file explorer, tap on the apk file and follow the instructions
  3. Done! Enjoy the app, and if you encounter any bugs please use the corresponding section to report them (link also available in-app under the settings page).

Changelog from 3.1.1

  • Added snackbar with undo button on checklist group deletion

Stable 3.0.1 - Colorful Update

Starting off with bad news: it is not possible to update from a previous version to any version equal or greater than 3.0.0. This is due to some change on the security aspect of the app. Among other things, the keys signing the apk files have changed so Android does not recognize anymore versions previous to 3.0.0 as the same application. I am deeply sorry for this inconvenience but it is a highly necessary thing to do and I still strongly recommend to update to this version. Please be very patient while rewriting down your notes. As a positive note (pun intended), from this version on it is possible to export the notes in text format so that if such a situation should arise again it will be much easier to import the notes.

That said, let's get into the good things of this update. As already mentioned there have been some security improvements. The notes recovery system has been refined and improved, so that the chances of losing your notes is now very low. Other improvements concern the UI and its components: the user can now choose a color theme among a set of predefined ones, the toolbar has a fairly new look to appear as it is hidden behind the main page, other small design improvements have been included.

Changelog from 3.0.0

  • taps slightly outside the toolbar icons do not cause notes to open anymore
  • fixed an issue in which the wrong (default) theme was sometimes loaded for the main page
