Should we specify behaviors for drop/cancellation, or even mem::forget for embedded-hal-async methods? This impacts all async methods, as well as things like SpiBus.

• [Feature Request] Provide Cursor Implementation in embedded-io embedded-hal#631. Only needs a nice reply? I guess a Cursor implementation would be out of scope for embedded-io. The person reporting the issue already published https://crates.io/crates/embedded_io_extras which adds Cursor on top of embedded-io.
• Consider collecting proposals for 2024H2 Rust Project Goals #775: If we want to have some embedded related "Project Goals", we should start defining them soon
• If we still have time: Tracking/discussion issue for MMIO references #791. No activity for 4 weeks. Is someone working on this / thinking about it?

We are getting a steady trickle of PRs against the old edition of the Embedded Discovery Book. I think it's time to start the deprecation of the old edition in favor of the new edition, so that PRs go there. Discussion welcome.

One vote here for, in particular, understanding some of the cross correlations (e.g. which other answers correlate with professional vs hobby use, using other languages, etc).

There's this ongoing conversation about critical-section Mutexes that we might want to figure out at some point: rust-embedded/critical-section#52

next steps for rust-embedded/embedded-hal#630? ACKed by reviewer, but required status checks must be adjusted. or is anything else wished?

if wished i can add the same as trick as in other repos also here to have only one status check to set in the settings (it'd be unrelated to this PR but it'd simplify things for the maintainers if done in one go)
