Per the installation instructions, this is a new UTI.

Strange!

I hope to have time over the weekend to test Monterey on at least one virtual machine.

For what it's worth, markdown files are rendering just fine in quicklook (after opening the app for the first time).

After the first opening did you check if the md files are recognized with a different uti?

That was it! .md extension was associated with TextEdit. I changed the association to QL Markdown and the UTI is now updated to net.daringfireball.markdown

Can you give an example of how you did it? Does this affect the associated App? (Open with). I mean the application that will open when the file is double clicked.

I have seen that in a clean installation of macOS the markdown files are associated with the generic UTI dyn.ah62d4rv4ge8043a. I will add it among the supported ones.

I do not recommend associating .md files to QLMarkdown.app because it is not intended to be used as a standalone viewer.

Fixed on release 1.0.4 (29).
