Welcome! - Introduce yourself

[sbounmy]

👋 there,

Welcome to Hong₿ao discussion section! I'd love to kick off this space with an introduction thread where we can all get to know each other. I'll start!

I'm Stephane, one of the founders of Hong₿ao. I learned about Bitcoin around 2013 but didn't really understand what it really was.
When I fell into the rabbit hole (it took me some time), I knew that I wanted to dedicate the rest of my life to Bitcoin.

This is my second Bitcoin-related project, and it holds a special place in my heart as it combines my passion for Bitcoin with my cultural traditions (Chinese red envelopes).

About me:

• Software Engineer with 15+ years Ruby on Rails xp
• Previously worked on SaaS enabling tenants to pay their rent using Bitcoin
• Passionate about OSS and Bitcoin
• Currently maintaining several open-source projects in my free time

Some discussion topics I'd love to explore:

• Your experience with Bitcoin
• Ideas for Hong₿ao's future development
• Technical discussions about Ruby on Rails, Bitcoin, or web development
• Suggestions for new features

Feel free to introduce yourself and share your story! 🚀

👋 Hey there,

I’m Talbi Salma, a developer and project manager working on the Hong₿ao project. My background is in full-stack development, with 4 years of experience in MERN stack, 2 years in React Native for Android, and 1 year in Flutter. I also have beginner experience in Ruby on Rails.

Before joining Hong₿ao, I didn’t know much about Bitcoin, but thanks to Stephane, I got introduced to it and fell down the rabbit hole too! Now, I’m excited to explore its potential and contribute to this project.

Looking forward to connecting with all of you! 🚀
