Make use of the existing linkmode helpers for bit manipulation of EEE
advertise, support and link partner support. The aim is to drop the
restricted _u32 variants in the near future.

Convert the tables to make use of ETHTOOL link mode bits, rather than
the old u32 SUPPORTED speeds. Make use of the linkmode helps to set
bits and compare linkmodes. As a result, the _u32 members of keee are
no longer used, a step towards removing them.

Energy Efficient Ethernet should always be negotiated with the link
peer. Don't include SUPPORTED_Autoneg in the results of get_eee() for
supported, advertised or lp_advertised, since it is
assumed. Additionally, ethtool(1) ignores the set bit, and no other
driver sets this.

All MAC drivers have been converted to use the link mode members of
keee. So remove the _u32 values, and the code in the ethtool core to
convert the legacy _u32 values to link modes.

the legacy u32 for link speeds. This restriction has been lifted, with
the use of linkmode bitmaps, added in the following patches:

This patchset converts the remaining MAC drivers still using the old
_u32 to link modes.

A couple of Intel drivers do odd things with EEE, setting the autoneg
bit. It is unclear why, no other driver does, ethtool does not display
it, and EEE is always negotiated. One patch in this series deletes
this code.

With all users of the legacy _u32 changed to link modes, the _u32
values are removed from keee, and support for them in the ethtool core
is removed.

Each time SD/mmc phy is initialized, at times, in some of
the attempts, phy fails to completes its initialization
which results into timeout error. Per the HW spec, it is
a pre-requisite to ensure a stable SD clock before a phy
initialization is attempted.

AC5X spec says PHY init complete bit must be polled until zero.
We see cases in which timeout can take longer than the standard
calculation on AC5X, which is expected following the spec comment above.
According to the spec, we must wait as long as it takes for that bit to
toggle on AC5X.
Cap that with 100 delay loops so we won't get stuck forever.

This reverts commit e467e0b ("drm/msm/dp: use
drm_bridge_hpd_notify() to report HPD status changes").

The commit changed the way how the MSM DP driver communicates
HPD-related events to the userspace. The mentioned commit made some of
the HPD events being reported earlier. This way userspace starts poking
around. It interacts in a bad way with the dp_bridge_detect and the
driver's state machine, ending up either with the very long delays
during hotplug detection or even inability of the DP driver to report
the display as connected.

A proper fix will involve redesigning of the HPD handling in the MSM DP
driver. It is underway, but it will be intrusive and can not be thought
about as a simple fix for the issue. Thus, revert the offending commit.

A recent commit restored the original (and still documented) semantics
for the HCI_QUIRK_USE_BDADDR_PROPERTY quirk so that the device address
is considered invalid unless an address is provided by firmware.

This specifically means that this flag must only be set for devices with
invalid addresses, but the Broadcom BCM4377 driver has so far been
setting this flag unconditionally.

Fortunately the driver already checks for invalid addresses during setup
and sets the HCI_QUIRK_INVALID_BDADDR flag, which can simply be replaced
with HCI_QUIRK_USE_BDADDR_PROPERTY to indicate that the default address
is invalid but can be overridden by firmware (long term, this should
probably just always be allowed).

There's a very confusing mistake in the code starting a HCI inquiry: We're
calling hci_dev_test_flag() to test for HCI_INQUIRY, but hci_dev_test_flag()
checks hdev->dev_flags instead of hdev->flags. HCI_INQUIRY is a bit that's
set on hdev->flags, not on hdev->dev_flags though.

HCI_INQUIRY equals the integer 7, and in hdev->dev_flags, 7 means
HCI_BONDABLE, so we were actually checking for HCI_BONDABLE here.

The mistake is only present in the synchronous code for starting an inquiry,
not in the async one. Also devices are typically bondable while doing an
inquiry, so that might be the reason why nobody noticed it so far.

While handling the HCI_EV_HARDWARE_ERROR event, if the underlying
BT controller is not responding, the GPIO reset mechanism would
free the hci_dev and lead to a use-after-free in hci_error_reset.

During suspend, only wakeable devices can be in acceptlist, so if the
device was previously added it needs to be removed otherwise the device
can end up waking up the system prematurely.

During our fuzz testing of the connection and disconnection process at the
RFCOMM layer, we discovered this bug. By comparing the packets from a
normal connection and disconnection process with the testcase that
triggered a KASAN report. We analyzed the cause of this bug as follows:

1. In the packets captured during a normal connection, the host sends a
`Read Encryption Key Size` type of `HCI_CMD` packet
(Command Opcode: 0x1408) to the controller to inquire the length of
encryption key.After receiving this packet, the controller immediately
replies with a Command Completepacket (Event Code: 0x0e) to return the
Encryption Key Size.

2. In our fuzz test case, the timing of the controller's response to this
packet was delayed to an unexpected point: after the RFCOMM and L2CAP
layers had disconnected but before the HCI layer had disconnected.

3. After receiving the Encryption Key Size Response at the time described
in point 2, the host still called the rfcomm_check_security function.
However, by this time `struct l2cap_conn *conn = l2cap_pi(sk)->chan->conn;`
had already been released, and when the function executed
`return hci_conn_security(conn->hcon, d->sec_level, auth_type, d->out);`,
specifically when accessing `conn->hcon`, a null-ptr-deref error occurred.

To fix this bug, check if `sk->sk_state` is BT_CLOSED before calling
rfcomm_recv_frame in rfcomm_process_rx.

hci_store_wake_reason() wrongly parses event HCI_Connection_Request
as HCI_Connection_Complete and HCI_Connection_Complete as
HCI_Connection_Request, so causes recording wakeup BD_ADDR error and
potential stability issue, fix it by using the correct field.

LIMITED_DISCOVERABLE flag is not reset from Class of Device and
advertisement on limited discoverable timeout. This prevents to pass PTS
test GAP/DISC/LIMM/BV-02-C

Calling set_discoverable_sync as when the limited discovery is set
correctly update the Class of Device and advertisement.

If we received HCI_EV_IO_CAPA_REQUEST while
HCI_OP_READ_REMOTE_EXT_FEATURES is yet to be responded assume the remote
does support SSP since otherwise this event shouldn't be generated.

Right now Linux BT stack cannot pass test case "GAP/CONN/CPUP/BV-05-C
'Connection Parameter Update Procedure Invalid Parameters Central
Responder'" in Bluetooth Test Suite revision GAP.TS.p44. [0]

That was revoled by commit c49a868 ("Bluetooth: validate BLE
connection interval updates"), but later got reverted due to devices
like keyboards and mice may require low connection interval.

So only validate the max value connection interval to pass the Test
Suite, and let devices to request low connection interval if needed.

Vendor-specific command patch config has HCI_Command_Complete event as
response, but qca_send_patch_config_cmd() wrongly expects vendor-specific
event for the command, fixed by using right event type.

BT adapter going into UNCONFIGURED state during BT turn ON when
devicetree has no local-bd-address node.

Bluetooth will not work out of the box on such devices, to avoid this
problem, added check to set HCI_QUIRK_USE_BDADDR_PROPERTY based on
local-bd-address node entry.

When this quirk is not set, the public Bluetooth address read by host
from controller though HCI Read BD Address command is
considered as valid.

hci_coredump_qca() uses __hci_cmd_sync() to send a vendor-specific command
to trigger firmware coredump, but the command does not have any event as
its sync response, so it is not suitable to use __hci_cmd_sync(), fixed by
using __hci_cmd_send().

Commit 'e3e56c050ab6 ("soc: qcom: rpmhpd: Make power_on actually enable
the domain")' aimed to make sure that a power-domain that is being
enabled without any particular performance-state requested will at least
turn the rail on, to avoid filling DeviceTree with otherwise unnecessary
required-opps properties.

But in the event that aggregation happens on a disabled power-domain, with
an enabled peer without performance-state, both the local and peer
corner are 0. The peer's enabled_corner is not considered, with the
result that the underlying (shared) resource is disabled.

One case where this can be observed is when the display stack keeps mmcx
enabled (but without a particular performance-state vote) in order to
access registers and sync_state happens in the rpmhpd driver. As mmcx_ao
is flushed the state of the peer (mmcx) is not considered and mmcx_ao
ends up turning off "mmcx.lvl" underneath mmcx. This has been observed
several times, but has been painted over in DeviceTree by adding an
explicit vote for the lowest non-disabled performance-state.

In commit 1941612 ("block: define 'struct bvec_iter' as packed"),
what we need is to save the 4byte padding, and avoid `bio` to spread on
one extra cache line.

It is enough to define it as '__packed __aligned(4)', as '__packed'
alone means byte aligned, and can cause compiler to generate horrible
code on architectures that don't support unaligned access in case that
bvec_iter is embedded in other structures.

 "A workaround to suppress the continuous bus resets in the case that
  older devices are connected to the modern 1394 OHCI hardware and
  devices

  In IEEE 1394 Amendment (IEEE 1394a-2000), the short bus reset is added
  to resolve the shortcomings of the long bus reset in IEEE 1394-1995.
  However, it is well-known that the solution is not necessarily
  effective in the mixing environment that both IEEE 1394-1995 PHY and
  IEEE 1394a-2000 (or later) PHY exist, as described in section 8.4.6.2
  of IEEE 1394a-2000.

  The current implementation of firewire stack schedules the short bus
  reset when attempting to resolve the mismatch of gap count in the
  certain generation of bus topology. It can cause the continuous bus
  reset in the issued environment.

  The workaround simply uses the long bus reset instead of the short bus
  reset. It is desirable to detect whether the issued environment or
  not. However, the way to access PHY registers from remote note is
  firstly defined in IEEE 1394a-2000, thus it is not available in the
  case"

In preparation for publication as an IETF RFC, the WG chairs asked me
to convert the document to use IETF packet format for field layout, so
this patch attempts to make it consistent with other IETF documents.

Some fields that are not byte aligned were previously inconsistent
in how values were defined.  Some were defined as the value of the
byte containing the field (like 0x20 for a field holding the high
four bits of the byte), and others were defined as the value of the
field itself (like 0x2).  This PR makes them be consistent in using
just the values of the field itself, which is IETF convention.

As a result, some of the defines that used BPF_* would no longer
match the value in the spec, and so this patch also drops the BPF_*
prefix to avoid confusion with the defines that are the full-byte
equivalent values.  For consistency, BPF_* is then dropped from
other fields too.  BPF_<foo> is thus the Linux implementation-specific
define for <foo> as it appears in the BPF ISA specification.

The syntax BPF_ADD | BPF_X | BPF_ALU only worked for full-byte
values so the convention {ADD, X, ALU} is proposed for referring
to field values instead.

Also replace the redundant "LSB bits" with "least significant bits".

Settle on three "flavors" of uprobe/uretprobe, installed on different
kinds of instruction: nop, push, and ret. All three are testing
different internal code paths emulating or single-stepping instructions,
so are interesting to compare and benchmark separately.

To ensure `push rbp` instruction we ensure that uprobe_target_push() is
not a leaf function by calling (global __weak) noop function and
returning something afterwards (if we don't do that, compiler will just
do a tail call optimization).

Also, we need to make sure that compiler isn't skipping frame pointer
generation, so let's add `-fno-omit-frame-pointers` to Makefile.

Just to give an idea of where we currently stand in terms of relative
performance of different uprobe/uretprobe cases vs a cheap syscall
(getpgid()) baseline, here are results from my local machine:

In current ping-pong design, xdp_hw_metadata will wait until the packet
transmission completely done, then only start to receive the next packet.

The current sleep interval is 10ms, which is unnecessary large. Typically,
a NIC does not need such a long time to transmit a packet. Furthermore,
during this 10ms sleep time, the app is unable to receive incoming packets.

Therefore, this commit reduce sleep interval to 10us, so that
xdp_hw_metadata is able to support periodic packets with shorter interval.
10us * 500 = 5ms should be enough for packet transmission and status
retrieval.

Perform all validations when updating values of struct_ops maps. Doing
validation in st_ops->reg() and st_ops->update() is not necessary anymore.
However, tcp_register_congestion_control() has been called in various
places. It still needs to do validations.

The BPF struct_ops previously only allowed one page of trampolines.
Each function pointer of a struct_ops is implemented by a struct_ops
bpf program. Each struct_ops bpf program requires a trampoline.
The following selftest patch shows each page can hold a little more
than 20 trampolines.

While one page is more than enough for the tcp-cc usecase,
the sched_ext use case shows that one page is not always enough and hits
the one page limit. This patch overcomes the one page limit by allocating
another page when needed and it is limited to a total of
MAX_IMAGE_PAGES (8) pages which is more than enough for
reasonable usages.

The variable st_map->image has been changed to st_map->image_pages, and
its type has been changed to an array of pointers to pages.

allocating additional pages when we exhaust an existing page, we can

On Goldmont p2sb_bar() only ever gets called for 2 devices, the actual P2SB
devfn 13,0 and the SPI controller which is part of the P2SB, devfn 13,2.

But the current p2sb code tries to cache BAR0 info for all of
devfn 13,0 to 13,7 . This involves calling pci_scan_single_device()
for device 13 functions 0-7 and the hw does not seem to like
pci_scan_single_device() getting called for some of the other hidden
devices. E.g. on an ASUS VivoBook D540NV-GQ065T this leads to continuous
ACPI errors leading to high CPU usage.

Fix this by only caching BAR0 info and thus only calling
pci_scan_single_device() for the P2SB and the SPI controller.
