The Agony Engine?

MUDs tend to be very dystopian, if you really think about them, and this MUD will be no exception. Players run around the world slaughtering everything in sight over and over and over again. They cannot be stopped, since they resurrect every time they're killed. So "The Agony Engine" seemed like an appropriate name. It's an engine that drives a world whose creatures are expected... designed explicitly... to suffer at the hands of the players in the name of amusement. A truly barbarous task.
