Need to work with SAS 9

Hello,

I was trying to change the name of the SAS Dataset to more than 8 characters and figured out that it is not supported by this module and it supports only upto V6, You have asked me to submit an issue if I want to work with SAS V9, Itried to change ther version number from 6.06 to 9.4 but it did'nt work.

Can you please help me out with just changing the name of the Dataset as it can contain more than 8 characters.

Hi Vignesh,
I haven't finished implementing the v9 XPT-format. If you don't care about making use of extra-long variable labels, it's possible to polish off the trivial changes and get v9 mostly working.

Thanks Michael, I was able to make some tweaks and was able get the required output format, right now I am not worried about the long format name as I came to know XPT can't support more than 8 characters for its Name. It is also not possible to write to a Sas7Bdat Format as it is a closed format. Also want to thank you for writing a great API, good job! and thank you.

I might implement sas7bdat someday for fun, using the example that Pandas provides.
