Good idea, but it's only about a specific service. What would happen if (when) this service closes? Imho, I'd prefer not to have in the core. But, what about implementing a plugin system instead? |

Supporting more services would be great and has been reported here. Maybe this should be done before merging, yes. Side note, some tools we could leverage to enhance the bookmarklet:

Note that we already have thumbnail generation in Shaarli which is website-specific. |

@nodiscc, you're right. As you may think, I don't like the current thumbnail generation as part of the core work. There's room for a strategy pattern, implementing the right action for a given thing. Outside the main code. Maybe I'm wrong, as I don't know enough how it should work. |

As I said earlier, there is ongoing work on youtube_playlist.js to have it support more websites (vimeo and soundcloud are the first planned)
