Description

Fawn is an innovative app designed to connect users to nonprofits in their area, streamlining the donation process and making it easier, faster, and more effective for supporting those in need.

Fawn leverages AI photo recognition for item identification and reveals the greater potential of these features as AI technology improves.

Note: Fawn was originally created as an app concept for all nonprofits nationwide. However, the current state of the project only supports nonprofits in Athens, Georgia.

Installation

To run Fawn on your Mac:

1. Install Xcode: Download Xcode from Apple's official website.

2. Clone the repository: git clone https://github.com/your-username/fawn.git

3. Open the Xcode project file (Fawn.xcodeproj) using Xcode.

4. Build and run the project on your iOS device or simulator.

Note: This Xcode project may not be compatible with certain iOS devices and unexpected issues may occur when using Fawn's image upload features through the simulator.

Steps to Use:

1. Open the app and create an account in order to save your upload data.
2. Take a picture of the item you want to donate.
3. Press upload and navigate to the results tab.
4. Click the nonprofit of your choice for information like location, hours of operation, and website.
5. Make a plan to deliver your donation items quickly and precisely, with Fawn's support.
