Styling of the native HTML5 date picker

I am trying to edit the styling of the html5 date picker that is brought up in the component.

So far, I have only found ways to edit the text in the input field but now way to change the calendar view.

Shoelace somehow changed the look and feel of it to a dark picker - how?!
Could you point me to the appropriate file where this customization is made?
Would love to know how shoelace does this so I can further customize it myself.

It helps but, as a heads up, it doesn’t allow arbitrary customizations.

Thank you - yes this is what I was looking for and I'm sad all I get is light and dark :(

Are there ways to define the light and dark color-scheme ?
