Introduction === OiVibration is a C++ library for estimation of madal parameters using FFT and SVD techniques (Output-only modal analysis). === 2.0. Installation: Preliminaries === While this library has gone through testing, not all possible cases have been covered yet. As such, its functionality may not be 100% correct. If you find a bug, either in the library or the documentation, we are interested in hearing about it. The functionality of OiVibartions is dependent on Boost and Armadillo libraries and partly dependent on other libraries -- mainly Mysql++ and Neko VM. OiVibrations can work without Mysql++ or Neko, but its functionality will be reduced. To compile and install OiVibrations it is needed cross platform open-source build program CMAKE: http://www.cmake.org/ Above mentioned libraries can be found at these sites: http://www.boost.org/ http://arma.sourceforge.net/ http://tangentsoft.net/mysql++/ http://nekovm.org/ For installation on all systems, see section 2.1. For installation on Unix-like systems, see section 2.2. Unix-like systems include: - Linux - Mac OS X - FreeBSD - Solaris - CygWin === 2.1. Installation on Unix-like systems === * Step 1: If CMake is not already be present on your system, download it from http://www.cmake.org On major Linux systems (such as Fedora, Ubuntu, Debian, etc), cmake is available as a pre-built package, though it may need to be explicitly installed (using a tool such as PackageKit, yum, rpm, apt, aptitude, etc). If Git is not present on your sistem, download it from http://git-scm.com/ and install it. * Step 2: Open a shell (command line), goto directory that will reside this project and execute following command: git clone git://github.com/sigidagi/oivibs.git === 3.0. Comliling and linking === * Step 3a: Change into the directory that was created by cloning the oivibs archive from the site, and type the following commands: cd build ./configure make CMake will figure out what other libraries are currently installed and will modify OiVibartions configuration correspondingly. CMake will also generate a run-time OiVibrations library, which is a combined alias for all the relevant libraries present on your system (e.g. Armadillo, Mysql++ and Neko VM). If you need to re-run cmake, it's a good idea to first delete the "CMakeCache.txt" file (not "CMakeLists.txt"). * Step 3b: === 4. Documentation / Reference Manual === A reference manual (user documentation) is available at http://github.com/sigidagi/oivibs in the "doc" directory. Use a web browser to open the "docs/index.html" file. The documentation explains how to use OiVibrations's classes and functions, with snippets of example code. This technical documentation is produced with the aid of Doxygen. === 5.
