I would like to use the widget in a static (Jekyll) HTML page and thus the AJAX-based display of detailled event information is not a reasonable option. As an alternative, I added support to call a function when an event is clicked on. The code I added is very basic, more documentation (e.g., examples) would probably also be helpful. Maybe someone is interested in extending this further.
