Changing emissivity value

I'm trying to change the emissivity in this library for more accurate temperature measurements, but I'm not getting good results when writing directly to the registers based on the datasheet. The library's "set emissivity" method is listed as a work in progress. Is there an update on its implementation? Also, do you have any guidelines I should follow when changing the emissivity? I'm using an Arduino Nano for testing with SparkFun_MLX90632_Arduino_Library version 1.0.8
