Background
I got in to coding pretty late in my undergraduate degree, but through my MBA program and work as a Reservoir Engineer I continued learning in my free time. I work in the Energy industry, which is going through a digital revolution that needs more technically minded people more than ever. I want to help others learn coding that can improve their own work and make their life easier, because that is what coding and automation is for.
Projects
Currently I am working on open source applications specific to petroleum evaluation and reservoir engineering because students or private engineers shouldn't have to pay large licensing fees for good software. I want to build the tools for engineers to improve their workflow and reduce friction in petroleum engineering. I am also contributing to other open source projects where I can.
PetroAlchemy
PetroAlchemy is a free desktop application to perform the basics of any decline curve analysis and financial review.
Any money donated will be used to get me get better hardware and software to develop with. I can build and distribute for Windows, but hope to get a mac (cheapest possible) to build for mac users also. This money would also be used code signing my products which require annual fees. Any donation is welcome, thank you!
