Hi, my name is Stuart, and I write code. Sometimes it's even somewhat decent code.

My side projects are usually dual purpose:

  1. So I can learn something. Web dev changes fast, and these projects give me a reason to try new things and learn new ideas.
  2. Share information. This goes right the way back to the first projects I did for a gaming community on another profile. It's something I want to continue doing, so a lot of my projects either focus on sharing information or organising it somehow.

Here's a selection of the repositories I work on that have some sort of purpose:

ourflags.lgbt (repo) screenshot.help (repo)
Our Flags How to Screenshot
Our Flags is a reference for pride flags and identities. How to Screenshot is a website with information on how to take screenshots on various platforms.

Select a tier

$ a month

You'll receive any rewards listed in the $5 monthly tier. Additionally, a Public Sponsor achievement will be added to your profile.

$1 a month

Select
  • Get an email from GitHub confirming the donation (I mean, this would happen anyway).
  • Cause me to need to deal with taxes (this would happen anyway too).
  • Lose $1 each month?
  • Get a sponsors badge on your GitHub profile.
  • Get access to a private repo containing a recipe for carrot cake.
    • It's just a recipe for carrot cake. You probably shouldn't be justifying your sponsorship with this.

$5 a month

Select
  • I will bake the aforementioned carrot cake and dedicate one slice of it to you.
    • Just once, though.
    • I guess this means that if more than like 12 people do this in a month then I'll need to bake two cakes.
