Is this project still alive? Any plans for a new release?

I would say rather yes.

However, we consider the core of Rain more or less finished and nobody reports any issues (if there are any users (?)). There are some technical debts, but nothing serious from user's perspective. So without outside impulse, we have no big plans in near future. But I will try to fix any bug that appears.

On the other hand, we are still working on related things. We are experimenting with schedulers (https://github.com/spirali/estee) and we would like to implement a common scheduling API into several projects, including Rain.

I personally also experimenting with different approaches for Python API for defining tasks. If some of it make sense to implement in Rain, I am going to do it.

Thank you for the quick reply. I'm asking because I'm quite interesting on experimenting with this project and didn't want to invest time on it to later discover it was dead.

Wondering if this is still valid or now we should consider it dead.

Thanks

Hi, this project is indeed no longer active anymore. The spiritual successors of this tool are RSDS and mainly HyperQueue.

thanks
