Text surrounded by backticks will be rendered literally:  
`*** not bold, just shows as it is ***`  
( You can include literal backticks like `` `this` `` )

Alternatively, you can just indent every line by at least 4 spaces like so:

    ##### This text will not be rendered as headers
    ##### This one neither
