buy a percentage of the max you can afford. maybe replace buy-n, which gets really tedious at large numbers; buy-percentage could work with a nice friendly slider

rethinking this: having precise control over how many things you're buying really isn't necessary and clutters the UI. I'm going to try reducing things to buy-one, buy-max, and buy-25%; no input fields or sliders or modal stuff anywhere:
