Qt Creator is a stand-alone IDE (integrated development environment) that we will be using throughout the course. Download the Qt Creator, not the Qt library!!! Some other download links will also install the Qt library onto your computer, which will occupy a lot of disk space and are not used for the course.

To install Qt Creator (small download), go to the official Qt download website:

Don't click that big green Download Now button

Instead, click the "View All Downloads" link on the bottom part of the text paragraph. This link will expend a long list of many different download options. Scroll down until the "Qt Creator" section, and download+install the Qt Creator suitable for your operating system.
