I tried to install this today on a 1and1 server, the install script ran fine, but I get this error when trying to do anything.

Seems that you are using an old PHP version.
Please upgrade your server with a recent PHP version (5.3+).

When you install TCExam the first time you have to create the configuration folder from the default one. Please have a look at the installation instructions at http://www.tcexam.org
