For the Ymesei Ezekiel song "Tal Morael," there are the lines: Le kau ke ngikel el kesebekuu / ke sekelekoll me ke uai sei / el morael e ke menguchiud er kau. All of the songbooks I have spell the word "menguchiud," which I understand means to twist or, in this case, walk in a sinuous path (like an eel), swinging your hips back and forth. Is this a different word than mengiud?

Mengiuid is to twist with fingers, like pinch and twist. Like getting
excessive water from laundry before you hang. Sorry my English kinda went
out the door right now. 😁 per se ‘cheliuid’ is tobacco leaves treated and
twisted into a bundle called ‘cheliuid’. Hope it makes sense…
