How are you, friend? Your application is sensational, I would like to suggest two new functions:
1 - Use shortcut keys
2 - Possible integration with the display fusion application, so when changing a monitor profile, it would automatically change the profile of wallpapers and settings.

Thanks @mauroartioli . Great suggestions.

The Hotkey one is already on my ideas list, and I've found a great library for handling it to make the integration even easier. I have some questions about how you would want it to work. Would you prefer:

  • A hot key 'per profile' to directly swap to a particular display profile?
  • A hot key 'per shortcut' to directly run a particular shortcut?
  • A hot key to open the shortcut library?
  • A hot key to open the display profile selecting window?
  • All of the above :).

I'm thinking about implementing all of them just to make the application as configurable as possible.

Did you know that there are a few quicker options for selecting things that may help speed things up? It may help you while you wait for me to get to those features:

  • You can right click on the desktop background and select a different display profile from a pop up menu
  • You can set DisplayMagician to start when the system starts, and minimise to the system tray/notification area, and then you can right click on the DisplayMagician icon to show a popup menu with your display profiles and your shortcuts. I prefer this way of doing things.

I haven't thought of the display fusion application idea. I like it, and I'll add it for investigation, but I'd rather add some additional game libraries (Origin, Epic, etc) and try to add AMD Eyefinity support before I'll get to the Display fusion one. But thank you very much for your enhancement suggestion. It's going on the list.

How cool that you answered me, I was very happy. Today I use DisplayFusion to manage my workspaces, this way I change the profiles by hotkeys. I think it would be interesting for me a hotkey per profile. So if I want to use a monitor, I program a key, if I want to use surround I define another one and so on.
When the tips, I already use them, I have changed the profiles with the right button in the work area. Your app is wonderful, everything the nvidia driver should be and never came close. Sorry my english i'm brazilian, and i'm using google translator.

Just a quick note to say that it's taken me a week of work, but I've managed to get the hotkeys working for all areas of DisplayMagician! That's to say you can open different parts of DisplayMagician using Hotkeys, or your can run a Display Profile change or run a Game Shortcut using Hotkeys as well. No limits to how many hotkeys or anything you can do, but I would warn against doing too many or you'll run out of keys :)

I'm just finishing up some of the UI features to make the hotkeys you have set more visible (its hard to see when they are spread across the application), and then I've still got a couple of more features to add before a v1.1.0 release. I think I've earned a 1.1.0 minor upgrade with this work :)

Moving the Game Shortcut bitmap issue to a new issue #15 so that we can track it separately.

This is now working in the develop branch. This will be released in v1.1.0 due in about a week.

@mauroartioli Just letting you know that I've released Hotkey functionality in DisplayMagician. It's available with v1.1.0. If you find any issues with it, please log a new issue.
