First off, thanks for dooble.

Is there any way to get uBlock Origin working with dooble? Following are some example sites where dooble's default content blocking isn't good enough for me. This is the one thing that is preventing me from switching over from Firefox.

Or is there a way to block such ads on dooble as effectively as uBlock Origin?

I'm not well-versed with browser extensions, but happy to contribute if you think this is sensible and need an extra pair of hands.

What you mean? I test with the cave people. Notice before and the notice after. Fine here and fine there; mostly fine everywhere.

You also looks well. Zero intrusions other than standard You advertisements, however, I do not see side banners or top banners or floating banners or vertical banners or diagonal banners or trapezoidal banners or a topological isomorphism. OK here and there too. OK everywhere. Not a problem at all. Simply install the provided information which I should update soon thanks for the reminder.

My goodness those are hideous banners. What nonsense in this age of year in 2024. Nightmarish. But I suppose some wealthy people must be more wealthy and we must submit our clicks. Yikes that is a headache.

@textbrowser Sorry, wallpapercave is fine when JS is disabled. I meant https://wallpapers.com/. This site can't be browsed without JS. If JS is enabled, it's horrendeous.

This is on firefox with uBlock Origin (JS enabled):

dooble with JS enabled:

YouTube is a special case. If you feel that their standards ads are okay, that's fine. Ublock Origin blocks them.

The wallpaper site was just an example to show the better content blocking of uBlock Origin (though the way dooble renders the site is arguably better than firefox). There are situations when we have no choice but to use JS. So, it's good to be able to block intrusive ads without having to disable JS completely.

Having said all this, I love dooble and what you are doing. So, these are things I can live with. It'd be nice if I can ditch firefox completely.

Let me know how to configure dooble to block ads better please.

As I wrote before, it works. Import dooble_filter.txt via Accepted / Blocked Domains. With or without JS.

Nice, thanks.

Closing. Done! I will not be enhancing it for YT because that requires integrating a tool.

Dooble is discoverable. One should test things and press buttons and read the tool tips. It is not hidden usually but requires reading like a manual or a dictionary or sitting awhile pondering about things to do like a garden with perplexed life.

Video games should be be part of life now. Some are expensive because of greedy companies. Some are simply whimsical with endless discovery. The open-world ones especially. You cannot get a hold of the developers so you answer and ask your questions. Worthwhile and also healthy for the developers to remain secret. Not that I am bothered but the balance between being present here and elsewhere must be important and of course some take insult if I'm silent.
