It would be great if you could integrate gpodder.net. You can find more information here: https://gpodder.net/developer/
You can also get some more information on the IRC channel #gpodder on chat.freenode.net.

At the moment there is no Android podcast client which support gpodder.net. So you could find a few more users if you add this feature :-)

Interesting idea. I'll take a look.

Did you have the chance to look into this?
Integrate gpodder.net has a lot more advantages over importing an OPML-File (#8). Because with gpodder.net Podax would not only import my podcast subscriptions, Podax would also know which episodes of this podcasts I already listened too

Yes, it's a good idea but will take a decent amount of work. I'll implement this but don't know when.

Have you had time to look into this feature?

I add you to the gpodder-Wiki in the Android client section. Hope that's OK for you (http://wiki.gpodder.org/wiki/Web_Services/Clients#Android). There are a lot of people looking for an Android podcast client which supports this feature and at the moment there is sadly no podcast client with this option available :-(

The biggest problem is that I haven't been able to work on Podax nearly as
much as I'd like in the past month or two. I will try to finish up what I'm
working on (discovery) and get to this soon.

Subscription sync has been committed. It needs to be reworked to call the server less, since the gpodder servers are overloaded.

I've changed how this works so the Gpodder piece is a separate app that is just a provider that all other apps can use. It's already committed but its barely tested.

What should I do to test the new gpodder integration? I would like to help with the testing

I'm I'm attempting to do some testing now but the web site is taking way too long to respond. Would it be rude of me to suggest that the best thing you can do to help with testing is speed up the site? :-(

@thasmin notice, that @brot is not @thp (the author of GPodder and maintainer of the site).

yes, that's right.
I'm a contributor to the gpodder python client. But the main author of the gpodder.net server part is @stefankoegl
As far as I know Stefan is still working on improving the performance. He switched from a relational database to couchdb and he is also planning to switch to another server. But I'm not sure what's the current state of this process.
I already asked him on IRC (#gpodder on freenode) and waiting for an answer

My apologies. Well anyway, it shouldn't be hard to confirm that it's working once I can use the site.

a) When i click on link gpodder account Podax crashes for me, but
b) I don't think it matters for now; without any bittereness and prejudice I believe gpodder.net support needs to be put on the back burner and we can wait when it is reliable again (and yes, I am emigree from N900 and GPodder as well :().

I can confirm that with the Gpodder provider (I have cloned the repo and built my own) I can login and my subscription shows up on the website. However, I don't see any changes going in the other direction (when I subscribe on the website, I don't see podcasts coming to my phone). More in #49
