Will no longer recognize raid location or when it's properly starting. Also can't update tarkov.dev with information #84
Comments
This started with solo queue after the latest update. It seems to update scav runs and co-op since all that is server side. |
Yes, this is a PVE local raid issue. Working on an update that will let you select which map you loaded into. |
Regarding updating tarkov.dev, have you set up Tarkov Monitor to use an API token from tarkovtracker.io? If so, have you used the same API token on the tarkov.dev website? The tarkov.dev website and Tarkov Monitor both use tarkovtracker.io for tracking quest completion. If you haven't linked to Tarkov Tracker, there's nowhere for your progress to be saved. |
What I was referring to was updating what tasks I'm on on the tarkov.dev map. I have tokens setup from tarkovtracker.io to both tarkov.dev and tarkovMonitor (they're using separate tokens, should they be the same?) I don't use the tarkovtracker.io website that often, generally only when playing with friends to openly track quests, but I have noticed that I'm still having to manually update tarkovtracker.io website with what quests I've completed vs on, as well as current level. |
It's OK to use different Tarkov Tracker tokens for the tarkov.dev website and Tarkov Monitor so long as they're for the same Tarkov Tracker account. Does Tarkov Monitor say it has retrieved your progress from Tarkov Tracker on app startup? Does Tarkov Monitor display messages indicating a quest is completed when you complete that quest in-game? Tarkov Monitor will not automatically update your player level because player level information is not logged. |
Yes to both. And good to know about the level. |
When you test the token in Tarkov Monitor settings, it says it was successful? No error messages in the app? |
It sounds like the token is valid, and the app is detecting quest completions properly, so if there are no error messages, it should be updating your progress on Tarkov Tracker. |
Since creation of this issue I've noticed tarkov.dev site having some of it's own issues (site crashing, or reloading itself, etc) The problem of quests showing on the map might have been their problem. My biggest concern out of this issue was to make aware that the offline raids messed with the monitor's ability to update tarkov.dev maps with it's remote and you mentioned you're already working on a solution 👍 |
if you are playing solo, it will miss the raid start, but if you go to settings and set offline map to what map you are playing then it still works for map updates |
True, but it doesn't seem to update location on screenshot when I do that.
Which is a big reason I have this setup to begin with.

hmm, thats weird it does for me |
The latest release now has a way to set the map for local PVE raids. |
I'm sorry but I am having the same issue. Tarkov Monitor will show the coordinates in the application but doesn't launch the maps on tarkov.dev. Am I missing something? |
I've not been having that problem anymore since the latest monitor update. |
I really wish I knew. |
So in my experience, it's the browser window needs to already be open and to the front. The tracker will update the website, but it won't manipulate your actual windows. If you have multiple monitors then it's best when you have Tarkov on one, and the website on another. If not, tabbing back and forth will work. |
Doing exactly as you just described fixed my issue. Thank you!

Closing this issue as it seems resolved with the latest version. |
With 14.9.5 release the Monitor will no longer properly mention what raid I'm starting on, and the audio queue doesn't happen until after I'm already at a playable (can move character around) state. It doesn't seem to be updating tarkov.dev with information when I complete quests or update my map location.
Edit: Not sure if it matters but I should mention I'm playing on PVE side.
