Feature: Random NPC and shop doors

With this option, some doors which normally contain shops may have other NPCs instead, and vice versa.

The Surface tents for Elder Xelpud and Former Mekuri Master are always open, but the others will remain closed until you find Xelpud in the ruins and talk to him.

If you find a stone statue inside any NPC door, you will need to return to that door with the Philosopher's Ocarina in order to speak to the philosopher you've found.

To make the Big Brother shop door appear, you'll have to find Little Brother somewhere in the ruins and make the usual 3 purchases. The door may contain a different NPC.

The dev room locations will be empty until you equip the software combo (miracle.exe + mirai.exe).

Both versions of Mr. Fishman's shop are random, and can contain completely unrelated NPCs.

The NPC at Mulbruk's door will tell you their name prior to waking them up, so you can decide if it's worth returning to speak with them later.

NPCs which are currently not randomized:

  • Stray fairy
  • 8bit Fairy
  • all doors related to Hell Temple unlock quest
  • all doors in Hell Temple, except for Dracuet's shop if the option to randomize it is enabled
