SeerSkye has created an excellent glitch guide with GIFs. If you're interested in using glitches, it's worth reading.
Requires: Lamp of Time
If enabled, the randomizer may expect you to use lamp glitch:
- To access Chamber of Extinction from Temple of the Sun without Origin Seal
- To access the Bronze Mirror chest without Origin Seal
- To reach the dais in Gate of Illusion to lower the bridge and stop Chi You's sacrifices without Birth Seal
- To access the Flail Whip room in Tower of the Goddess without speaking to the philosopher
- To access the middle part of Gate of Illusion from above by dropping through the floor left of the grail tablet
- To access the part of Inferno Cavern with Viy's ankh without going through Tower of Ruin
- To access the lower part of Gate of Illusion from Graveyard of the Giants without Fruit of Eden (if damage boosting is enabled)
- To access the Surface through Spring in the Sky without fighting Bahamut
If enabled, the randomizer may expect you to use cat pause:
- To access the Knife puzzle item and shop in Temple of the Sun
- To access the Katana item without Twin Statue
- To access the Earth Spear item without being able to reach the screen above and solve the puzzle normally
- To access the Flail Whip item without being able to read (can be combined with Lamp Glitch if both are enabled)
- To access the Angel Shield item without Dimensional Key
- To access the shop in Temple of Moonlight without Bombs
- To access the Chamber of Birth grail point by jumping through the trap door
- To solve the puzzle to unlock the ladder in the lower part of Gate of Illusion without Anchor or damage boosting by jumping through the trap door
- To move pots out of the way to access the Tower of Ruin Ankh Jewel chest when no downward attack is available
- To move pots out of the way to access the Tower of the Goddess coin chest on the screen with the exit to Graveyard of the Giants when no downward attack is available
Requires: Hermes' Boots, Grapple Claw
If enabled, the randomizer may expect you to use raindrop:
- To access Chamber of Extinction without the Origin Seal
- To access the upper part of Twin Labyrinths without Twin Statue, and possibly even get rid of the poison for full access (see the Glitch Companion for more details)
- To access the Lamp of Time shop in Twin Labyrinths by raindropping in Baphomet's room
- To navigate the Gate of Illusion warp maze without Hand Scanner (by transitioning through the floor)
- To access the upper section of Gate of Illusion without first entering through Tower of the Goddess
- To access Tower of the Goddess from Gate of Illusion using the above path (neither Plane Model nor Feather is required)
- To access Chi You without the Mini Doll (note that you will need to attack while jumping to break the pot in the way if you don't have a downward attack)
- To enter the room with the Fairy Clothes chest without a downward attack
- To access the Philosopher's Ocarina chest without Feather (Maternity Statue is still required)
- To access the lower part of Temple of Moonlight without going through Graveyard of the Giants or using Ellmac's door (by raindropping from inside the pyramid)
- To access the right section of lower Temple of Moonlight without Birth Seal (there's a raindrop that will take you upward)
- To access the upper part of Temple of Moonlight through Twin Labyrinths (raindrop against the right wall; after the third jump, hold right to not get zipped to the surface)
- To access the shop in Tower of the Goddess without using Lamp of Time (there's a raindrop that will take you upward)
- To access the right side of Graveyard of the Giants from Tower of the Goddess without Plane Model
- To access the post-Viy part of Chamber of Extinction before defeating Viy
- To access the upper part of Inferno Cavern without going through Chamber of Extinction (by raindropping behind Xelpud's statue)
- To access the Tower of Ruin Ankh Jewel chest without a downward attack (if no Cat Pause)
- To access the Chamber of Extinction part of the above path (by raindropping on the Shell Horn chest screen and then using Feather to reach the ladder or doing a second blind raindrop the rest of the way down)
- To enter the left side of Chamber of Birth without Plane Model by raindropping out of Gate of Time (stop jumping during transition so you'll be pushed back up into Chamber of Birth)
- To access the wall blocking the Dimensional Key chest from the Chamber of Birth grail tablet without Cog of the Soul
- To navigate Chamber of Birth without the various items normally needed for progress
- To access the right side of Chamber of Birth without first defeating Skanda (by raindropping against the wall in Skanda's room)
- To enter, warp between, and/or escape from the teleport area in Chamber of Extinction/Chamber of Birth
- To bypass the skull wall blocking access to the Death Seal chest and translation tablet in the Shrine of the Mother room accessed from Endless Corridor (raindrop out, then stop jumping and hold right during the transition)
- To enter Shrine of the Mother from Endless Corridor without reading the tablet and fighting the minibosses
- To reach the screen containing the Katana weapon case from the room left of the Dimensional Corridor entrance
- To escape to the Surface without the Holy Grail
- To go from the fifth floor of Endless Corridor to the first (on the screen that has a hole in the floor during the escape sequence)
- To go from the part of Chamber of Extinction where you read the MU mantra tablet to the screen where you use the Pochette Key to unlock Palenque's ankh
Requires: Grapple Claw
This glitch has only one use:
- To access the right side of Graveyard of the Giants without Bomb, Ring, and/or access to the area from the Tower of the Goddess/Chamber of Birth entrances
Requires: Grapple Claw Version: 1.3.3.1 or older
If enabled, the randomizer may expect you to use pot clip:
- To access the wall blocking the Dimensional Key chest from the Chamber of Birth grail tablet without Cog of the Soul
- To access Skanda's room without Cog of the Soul
- To access the Flail Whip room without speaking to the philosopher
Requires: Hermes' Boots
If enabled, the randomizer may expect you to use object zip:
- To access the Chamber of Birth grail point using the pot left of the ladder
- To zip up the one-way door in Gate of Illusion on the Eden screen and unlock the ladder leading up to the room with the elevator
- To zip up the one-way door in Gate of Illusion on the screen with the upside-down door to reach the upper portion (requires Feather for alignment; use the pot near the down-ladder)
Requires: Hermes' Boots, Grapple Claw
If enabled, the randomizer may expect you to use screen mash:
- To access Shrine of the Mother from the lower entrance with the moving platform
- To access the upper part of Tower of Ruin containing the coin chest from the grail tablet (by bringing a moving platform from Spring in the Sky)
